Big shifts begin with small steps. The idea of “think globally, act locally” is more than just a slogan, it captures the growing movement of individuals and communities turning sustainability ideals into everyday actions. Traditionally seen as resource-intensive, festivals are now being redesigned as platforms for education, collaboration, and climate action.

Langkah Membumi Ecoground 2025, initiated by Blibli Tiket Action, captures this new spirit. It shows how a festival can evolve into tools for public engagement, bridging awareness with real-world solutions for healthier living and a healthier planet. Will be held on 8–9 November 2025 at Taman Kota Peruri, Blok M, South Jakarta, the festival aims to turn sustainability into an experience: tangible, interactive, and collaborative. Its theme, "CollaborAction for the Earth", invites individuals, businesses, and communities to take collective steps toward positive environmental change.

Measurable Contribution to Sustainability

Life Cycle Indonesia (LCI) has once again partnered with Blibli Tiket Action to assess the impacts of Langkah Membumi Ecoground 2025. As in previous year, LCI will evaluate both the environmental and social impacts of the festival. To ensure accuracy, LCI will apply the ISO 14040/44-based Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) framework to map the event's environmental footprint. This science-based methodology will analyse data across energy and material use, logistics, and waste management to identify major impact areas and inform continuous improvement. Key metrics analysed include:

  • Transport emissions from participants and performers

  • Energy consumption from stages and installations

  • Waste management impact

  • Avoided emission from material reuse

We also conduct simple social life cycle assessments to understand the social impact of the festival. This will be the basis for us to improve how we manage the festival for next year.

From Participation to Impact

Langkah Membumi turns awareness into action through four immersive zones:

  • Eco Motion: Low-carbon activities like sustainable workouts and active mobility demos.

  • Eco Market: A showcase of ethical brands and circular economy solutions.

  • Eco Labs: Hands-on sessions on composting, upcycling, and more.

  • Eco Stage: Talks, performances, and stories that spotlight environmental and social issues.

Develop Impact Report

The festival’s commitment to transparency is reflected through the impact report developed by LCI, which discloses CO₂e emissions, offsetting results, and other key sustainability metrics — providing a clear reference for other organisations seeking to integrate sustainability without compromising experiential value.

A Blueprint for the Future

Langkah Membumi Ecoground 2025 is not just a celebration, it can be a blueprint. One that shows how creativity, corporate leadership, and community participation can come together to shape a greener future—one step, one action, one event at a time.
